Hallelujah - we are just doing the following verses and possibly a Maori verse. See the video below for Maori words. I've heard there was a secret chord That David played, and it pleased the Lord But you don't really care for music, do you? It goes like this The fourth, the fifth The minor fall, the major lift The baffled king composing Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Baby I have been here before I know this room, I've walked this floor I used to live alone before I knew you. I've seen your flag on the marble arch Love is not a victory march It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah "Run Run Rudolph" Out of all the reindeer you know you're the mastermind Run, run Rudolph, Randalph's not too far behind Run, run Rudolph, Santa's got to make it to town Randalph he can hurry, he can take the freeway down And away went Rudolph a whizzing like a merry-go-round Said Santa to a boy child "What have you been longing for?" "All I want for Christmas is a Rock and Roll electric guitar" And away went Rudolph a whizzing like a shooting star Run, run Rudolph, Santa's got to make it to town Can't you make him hurry, tell him he can take the freeway down And away went Rudolph a whizzing like a merry-go-round Said Santa to a girl child "What would you like most to get?" "I want a baby doll that can cry, scream and wet" And away went Rudolph a whizzing like a Saber jet Run, run Rudolph, run, run Rudolph, a running like a son-of-a-gun. Run, run Rudolph, run, run Rudolph, a running like a son-of-a-gun. Run, run... "Geronimo"
Can you feel it? Now it's coming back we can steal it. If we bridge this gap, I can see you Through the curtains of the waterfall. When I lost it, Yeah you held my hand, But I tossed it, Didn't understand, You were waiting, As I dove into the waterfall. So say Geronimo! Say Geronimo! X6 Can you feel my love? Bombs away X3 Can you feel my love? Bombs away X3 Say Geronimo! Well we rushed it, Moving away to fast. That we crushed it, But it's in the past. We can make this leap, Through the curtains of the waterfall. So Say Geronimo! Say Geronimo! X6 Can you feel my love? Bombs away X3 Can you feel my love? Bombs away X3 Say Geronimo! Well I'm just a boy, With a broken toy, All lost and coy, At the curtains of the waterfall. So it's here I stand, As a broken man, But I've found my friend, At the curtains of the waterfall. Now I'm falling down, Through the crashing sound. And you've come around, At the curtains of the waterfall. And you rushed to me, And it sets us free. So I fall to my knees, At the curtains of the waterfall. So Say Geronimo! Say Geronimo! X6 Can you feel (Say Geronimo! [x4]) my love? Bombs away! [x3] (Say Geronimo! [x4]) Can you feel (make this leap [x3]) my love? Make this leap. Can you feel my love? https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/QDSY33W

We had a great day learning about and playing lots of games from the past. Some of the games were over 100 years old! We worked in groups and went around 4 different stations:
Miss Strange is our student teacher from Otago University. She has been working with us for the last two weeks. We have been learning about the features of dance. On Friday we worked in a circle and got to show some of our great dance moves off to the class. We then made up our own four movement dance sequence to the song Jambo Bwana below. We tried to include; movements that included lots of body parts, changing our level (high or low) and making sounds with our body e.g. clapping and clicking. This Term our class is looking at the ways games have changed. Today we read a story from 1990 about the popular school yard game - marbles! We watched a video and read a marbles glossary to find out more about the game. Once we understood the rules we drew some marble arenas in our classroom and had a go at playing. |
