Well done to these people who earned three homework credits in our first homework grid!
Cole, Jasmin, Tyler, Jake, Riley, Harry and Alex. A new homework grid has been given out today and is due next Friday 6th June. Today we started our school swimming lessons. We will be going to the Community pool for 30 minute lessons for the next two weeks to improve our swimming skills. Check out some photos from today below! Today we had the school cross country on our school grounds. Miss Taylor did a great job on organising the sun to shine brightly all day. A big thank you to all the parents who helped marshall and give out bands! Everyone participated and our class had some great results. Well done to Tyler who came 1st in the year six boys, Harry who came 1st in the year 5 boys, Matthew P who came 2nd in the year 5 boys and Maddi who came 1st in the year 5 girls! You will find out who is going to the Counties cross country next week! Check out our house banners and some photos from the cross country below! Today Shelly from Mid-Canterbury netball come to our school and took us through some ball drills. We have three more sessions with Shelly learning some basic netball skills. Even though we don't all play netball these skills can be transferred to other sports that use a ball. We broke the Ashburton record for the amount of times you can clap while throwing a ball in the air, Cory was able to clap 14 times! Check out some photos below... Vietnam is an incredibly busy city - It has a population of over 88 million people, try comparing that to New Zealand. We have a population of only 4.4 million! I stayed in Ho Chi Minh City where there are over 7 million people and over 6 million motorbikes and scooters. Watch the video below to see a standard round-a-bout in the city. People are supposed to drive on the right side of the road but sometimes they just drive where ever they want! Crossing the road can be extremely difficult. |
